Gears of War (PC) Hands-On Previews

A number of Gears of War (PC) previews have popped up around the internet, revealing things like visual sumptuousness and control schemes.
ShackNews - "Demo machines were running a smooth 60fps at 1920x1200 resolution on machines equipped with Nvidia 8800-series cards and 2GB of RAM"


IGN - "Thankfully, if you get too confused by the superior aiming system, you'll be able to switch, on the fly, between the 360 controller and mouse and keyboard. The interesting thing about it is that even the visual cues for the special maneuvers when under cover, like jumping over a wall or moving from cover to cover, will also change on the fly. Sure, not a huge thing, but certainly cool that they're putting the attention into such a small detail as that."


GameDaily - "Much of the controls remain context sensitive and mapped to the space bar. Running up against a wall and hitting space will automatically cause the character to take cover. Pressing "F" switches the weapon to melee "chainsaw" mode for those in-your-face moments. It can be a little shocking how quickly the controls can be picked up. Double-tapping the "W" key causes the character to go into a sprint, which in turn zooms in the camera to restrict the view."

I'm sooooo in. would be cool if could cross play with console players as well... but I guess that won't be possible.

still GoW on PC looks AMAZINGGGGGg....
