I'd be up for this and now I'm on a US timezone it'll be a hell of a lot easier to be around for the matches. Whoever I'm paired up with is fine.
Suggestions......
- Have more than one person 'running and organising' the tourney. I've found out the majority of times you're the guy chasing people to play so it always helps to have two or three members helping you out.
- Try and keep matches set in players specific timezones. It's easier if you're fortunate to have teams on the same times rather than having to go through the whole procedure of 'meet here at this time' and 'you're three hours behind us guys'. If nothing else there will be a greater chance of people actually completing their games.
- Perhaps change it from 2vs2 to 1vs1? Greater chance of matches getting played when only two individuals have to turn up at a certain time. The more players that are in the team the greater the risk that one will fail to turn up.
Those are just a few ideas that I would try to implement the next time I was running a tourney. BTW if you do need a hand with anything give me a shout and I'll help out in anyway I can.
