I had a seven year relationship. After three years he decided to start drinking again... (he had quit drinking right before he met me) then I should have known it was over.. but I thought he would be strong, change his mind back again. For the next two years he went back and forth with drinking vs. working on his life. (Drinking won) Then I stayed in it for the rest of the time I don't know why. Inexperience and naive hope.

I will never, ever be with an alcoholic again.

longest that didnt work was about 2 years and something.
My current relationship is with my husband. We have been together for 11 years now and married 6 years now. We have our ups and downs but we keep on going
We have 2 beautiful kids, in the process of building our dreamhouse and we still love each other.

But i guess that's a bit "off topic"
