UT99 Frag Circuit: Open Invite

Just floating an idea out there:

So how many clans out there would be up for a scrim and/or war circuit type set-up?

That is, a regular/consistent scheduled scrim that rotates between participating clans. say, once a month to keep the pressure off. we would rotate available servers.

K.I.S.S. rule would apply (Keep It Simple, Stupid!) As well as common sense and sportsmanship. So, this would NOT be a serious tournament or ladder... that would defeat the purpose and make it annoying fast. So anyone who gets all "whos on what team" and ultra-l33t snobby will be booted. Save that crap for official tournies or wars. ie: We could do a tournament separately and official wars etc on other dates...

So, yes, it might end up just being a open mixed session for pick-up games. might turn into on the fly scrims.... eitherway would be fine, imo.

ie: What this really would be is a thinly veiled good excuse for getting clans and UT99 snipers to frag together on certain days.

the ol bait and switch. but one I'd be willing to fall for. heh.

Love the idea GK. I can get RSC entered, you guys have TSU and VDSA, so we're a tri-tourney already. Even if we play 3 vs 3 or 4 vs 4 it's better than sitting around with our thumbs up our backsides.

let's do it. action speaks louder than ...posts. heh. I think many of our clan didn't see this. zon has been all gung ho about more play and yet didn't reply here so... I can only assume it got buried.

Yeah Im just bad about seeing posts sometimes. But I'm in!

I have also setup presets in our webadmin for quick switching to protourney style playing.

If you let me know what rules to apply to the server I will set it up fully.

And of course we can use RSC server too if you guys want / back and fourth.

So I know it will need to be passworded for starters right?

What else? No powerups?

Explan? And I can set it up!

How's this?

- bi-weekly to start
(times and date we have to find what works best)
- 2 games CTF - 4 caps (tie breaker if needed)
- players is how many show up. if that means 1v1 or 10v10...so be it.

THEN IF STILL HAVE TIME:
- 2 games TDM - 100 frags (tie breaker if needed)
IF TIME:
- one voted in by winner of the above. (tie breaker if needed)

ADMIN
- PW: fragcircuit
- no powerups.
- I actually say NO tournment mode for now. easy to just restart maps then get someone who might be out a particular time.
(its not meant to be that serious to start anyway.)
-any start making super annoying rules tournament is kicked for a map.
-specs open
-players are whoever for whatever the situation is.

1) Can you set up your server like that?

We'll split days for server. ie: this is ours...next week is yours.

2) Spread the word!!!



Also, another extension to this:
Let's make a SOCIAL GROUP page (a cool unused feature of teh boards) for an offical stats and report results this. The catch being.. its for fun and pretty meaningless. as in again, if someone is like "but destroyer played for RSC that day!" .. so that's not fair. they are instantly banned from the next map or next match. lol
