1UP preview: Gears of War PC looks sharper and lasts longer

"Remember Chris Rock at the 2005 Oscars, right? The comedian and his camera crew go to an L.A. Magic Johnson Theater and ask, what's your favorite movie this year? Everyone agrees it's either Alien vs. Predator or The Chronicles of Riddick." Producer Rod Fergusson underscores the populist idea: "We weren't necessarily working to conceal every rough edge from game critics. It's always about what resonates with the audience you're trying to reach." Whether or not Tinseltown tastemakers argue the other way around -- that those movies are more like videogames -- Gears of War is an interactive Jerry Bruckheimer flick. As the Xbox 360's fastest-selling game, it's triumphed at the "box office" to boot.
