Well here... I'll revive it
Longest relationship I had that didn't work out was 3 years... 2 years together and 1 by long distance in my girl's first year of grad school
and I should have broken it up after the 1st year... the other 2 was me going through the motions being a complete coward and acting as if I still felt the same about her as she did with me
finally she figured out what was going on and it broke her heart and she broke up with me and I felt completely horrible about it but I learned a valuable lesson... kill it when you know it's not going to bear fruit
I can tell within the first conversation with a woman now whether there's any potential for a real relationship... most times, it isn't sadly enough so I've completely given up... especially after my most recent "relationship" which I may just go into on another post
